Accommodation
Accommodation in Snowdonia covers a variety of facilities and costs. Wild-about-Wales uses good standard hotels, guest houses, and bunkhouses in villages or towns that are well established with good amenities.
Hotels used are of 3 star quality and provide twin, double or at a supplement, single rooms with private facilities and breakfast. Dinner is also available if required. The bunkhouses owned often by the hotels, provide accommodation in bunk beds in rooms of four people or more with shared facilities. Breakfast is provided at the hotel. Towels and sleeping bags are normally required here, although they can be provided at a small charge. We try to use the same accommodation for all the tour, although this is subject to availability.
Betws-y-Coed -The village of Betws-y-Coed is in the heart of Snowdonia. A charming village, it provides all the normal amenities such as banks, post offices, and shops. There are a variety of restaurants, pubs, and bistros for those who are on Band B, and they are all easy walking from the accommodation, which is very central. The village itself is a friendly place with a relaxing, cosy atmosphere. Click for map (multimap)
Dolgellau - The central village of Mid Wales, Dolgellau retains its old world charm and provides all the usual amenities. Very Welsh and traditional, and surrounded by the majestic peaks of southern Snowdonia, it is a compact and pretty village, well situated for our walks in this area. Click for map (multimap)
